Bo Okoroji

Founder & CEO

Prior to founding Steerpoint, Bo served as the Head of US Investments at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW). In this role, he was responsible for leading the firm’s US investment strategy including the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of acquisitions, dispositions, and redevelopment opportunities.

Prior to URW, Bo held various senior roles at Simon Property Group, where he was recruited for the firm’s “Real Estate Executive in Training” program. Over the course of his career, he has structured, underwritten and negotiated over $ 11 Bn in commercial real estate transactions.

Bo currently holds a seat on the ICSC Board of Trustees and was recently selected for ICSC’s 4 Under 40 Awards, a highly coveted acknowledgement recognizing his accomplishments in the retail sector.

In 2022, he was selected to ICSC’s Next Generation Leadership Network and has continued to play an integral role within the organization.

He also currently serves on the Advisory Board for Walker & Dunlop’s CRE Diversity Initiative and is a member of the Board of Directors for Breathe Southern California (“Breathe SoCal”), a non profit organization that promotes clean air and healthy lungs.

Bo holds an MBA from LeBow College of Business at Drexel University and a BS in Economics from the University of Houston.

Jon Callegari

Managing Director & CFO

As Managing Director of Asset Strategy for Steerpoint Capital, Jon draws from nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience, primarily serving in asset and portfolio management roles. Throughout his career he has been responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategies for open air shopping centers, enclosed malls, and redevelopment opportunities across various investment structures.

Prior to joining Steerpoint, Jon began his career in asset and investment strategy at Brixmor Property Group (BRX) in multiple portfolio and asset management roles. While the company made the transition through an IPO to operating as a public company, he oversaw various shopping center portfolios valued over $4 Bn.

Jon then spent time at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) and DLC Management Corporation with their respective asset management groups after working in retail brokerage covering New York City.

Jon holds a BS in Finance degree from Boston University.

Jason Jaffe

Director - Leasing & Asset Strategy

Jason Jaffe comes to Steerpoint Capital drawing on a strong, real estate focused career spanning commercial leasing and financial planning and analysis. In Jason’s decade long career, he has successfully delivered hundreds of restaurant, retail, office, and medical leases across several million square feet of commercial real estate projects.

Jason brings with him a long tenure at global REITs, including Unibail- Rodamco-Westfield, where he served as a key financial advisor for senior leadership before expanding his role into national account leasing across the US market and leading the portfolio-wide office and medical leasing platform.

Recognized for his strong negotiation skills and capacity for savvy dealmaking, Jason excels in finding creative solutions to complex problems. Leveraging his track record of executing on long-term vision and tenacity for extracting maximum value, Jason navigates every transaction with meticulous precision.

Jason holds a BS in Communication Theory degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Jack Steger

Director - Investments & Development

As the Director of Investments and Development at Steerpoint, Jack Steger assumes a pivotal role in steering the firm’s acquisition strategy, demonstrating an exceptional aptitude for deal-making and strategic development.

In his relatively short tenure, Jack has left an indelible mark, overseeing transactions totaling more than $400 Mn, a testament to his acumen in the complex landscape of real estate investments.

Jack’s diverse career spans Melbourne and London, featuring roles in acquisition, asset management, and portfolio management. He made notable contributions to Melbourne’s real estate sector at Frasers Property Australia and APN Property Group, managing a range of funds across different sectors.

Since joining Steerpoint, Jack has been instrumental in the company’s rapid growth, overseeing all aspects of acquisitions, including negotiation, underwriting, and structuring. His strategic oversight and deal structuring experience played a pivotal role in establishing Steerpoint as a key player in the competitive real estate market through the success of all 7 acquisitions under his tenure.

Jack holds a Bachelor of Business from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Omar Rehmatulla

Senior Analyst - Investments & Asset Management

As an Associate on the Investments team at Steerpoint Capital, Omar plays a key role in underwriting potential investments, valuing assets, leading key aspects of the transaction process, as well as implementing value-add strategies.

Before joining Steerpoint, Omar began his career at CSG Investments, the investment subsidiary of Beal Bank, in Dallas, Texas. There, he was instrumental in originating over $400 million worth of Commercial Real Estate loans to REITs, specializing in the retail sector.

With a proven track record in underwriting and transaction execution, Omar excels in identifying lucrative investment opportunities and taking part in leading throughout the various components of the transaction process.

Omar graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy, bringing a unique perspective to their work in commercial real estate investment and analysis.

Matt Yu

Analyst - Investments & Development

As an Investment Analyst at Steerpoint Capital, Matt specializes in underwriting, financial modeling, and market research, helping the team make better pricing decisions and mitigate potential risks.

Prior to joining Steerpoint, Matt served as a private equity intern at Foothills Equity. In this role, he was responsible for building financial models, market analysis, financial statement analysis, and comparable/competitors study. Prior to studying/working in the US, Matt served as an Audit Intern at Crowe Global. After that, Matt served in Taiwan’s Military as an Army Private.

Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a BS in Finance from Fu Jen Catholic University.
